This installation of Beyond Words is the 5th that WSG Gallery has presented. 

Each year since 2006 the show has expanded, my goal being to demonstrate a wide variety of possibilities.  Some pieces are traditional and recognizable as books.  Mostly though, you’ll find artist books.  In the past I have made the point that the term “artist book” gives rise to a great deal of discussion (and irresolution) among book artists.  There will probably never be a definition that everyone agrees to, but I think “book inspired art” might be a good place to begin.

Artists included in this show:  Eric Alstrom, Ruth Bardenstein, Barbara Brown, Alyssa Chambo, Dick Cruger, Constance Harper, Jim Horton, Alvey Jones, Sarah Jones, Kaitlind Marek, Ben Reynaert, Susan Skarsgard, and Jack Summers.
